This year, Nanako will be joining

• Dance Base Yokohama residency as “NewDance Technologies” yearly.
• As for the performance, team chiipro will be presenting “Menstruation Sumo Dance”（2022） in Festivals in Autumn 2026. This ritual / dance piecetakes “shiko”—a fundamental movement in sumo, Japan’s “national “ sport—as its starting point to re-examine how bodies that experience menstruation have historically been discussed and set apart. This is a work presented in Kyoto Experiment 2022. Details to be announced!
